Last month I had the privilege of capturing two of my sweet friends’ Maui elopement. When they asked me to photograph their ceremony, I knew I was all in. It’s not everyday that I get to be a part of something like this. I got to be there amongst the beauty of Maui, these love birds, and get to do what I love.
Molly and Sam were married in a private location on the West Maui Mountains. Walking down to their cliffside spot looking over all of Maui we were surrounded by Coconut grove fields. These scenic views were absolutely insane to capture, and framed Molly and Sam perfectly as they exchanged their vows.
The day started off with couple portraits, as Molly and Sam had their first look moments before the ceremony began. I got to capture these moments alongside, Nate Strubhar (Sunlit Films), and their close friend and Mentor Michelle. As I edit this gallery, I can just feel the joy and laughter from this intimate Maui elopement.
As the sun set over the island of Maui, the Harvest Moon made its debut. Just after the ceremony ended, the moon began to rise and the sky exploded as it felt like the moon was right in front of us. We began to cheer and celebrate, and this truly was a one of a kind Maui elopement for these newly-weds.
I love being able to capture anything from large weddings, family photos, couples sessions, and intimate elopements. Because I do what I do, I get to show up and capture your day exactly how you imagined so that you have memories to look back on forever. No matter what that day looks like, I want to be a part of your special moment.
